Meal Makers: Give Monthly. Nourish Daily.
Monthly giving is the best way to help our neighbors 365 days a year. By becoming a Meal Maker, you can help Food Bank for the Heartland provide hope and nutritious meals to those who need it most—all year long. Plus, an automatic monthly donation is a hassle-free way to make a direct impact. Our Meal Maker program also gives you the ability to manage your account online. As an added benefit, Meal Makers receive priority invitations to special events and volunteer opportunities. Become a Meal Maker and help us fight hunger every day.

Matching Gifts
Double your impact with matching gifts! Many companies want to support the causes their employees care about, so they establish charitable giving programs through which they match employee donations to eligible nonprofits. Simply check with your employer’s Human Resources department at your place of employment, fill out your employer’s matching gift form and send it with your contribution.

Tribute Gifts
Honor someone special with a tribute or memorial gift to Food Bank for the Heartland. Upon completion of your gift, a personalized card will be mailed or emailed to the recipient of your choice acknowledging your thoughtful gift. Planned Giving
By including Food Bank for the Heartland in your estate plans, or naming Food Bank for the Heartland as a beneficiary of your will or insurance policy, you leave a legacy that provides nutritious meals to those who are hungry for years to come. A planned gift can be of any size; none is too small. Most importantly, you can continue your support of those in need. Stock
Making a gift of stock (securities) is a great way to support the work of Food Bank for the Heartland. When you transfer appreciated stock to the Food Bank, you will receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the stock. Host a Fundraiser

Proceeds from your fundraising event make a difference in the lives of hungry children, families and seniors in our community. Fundraisers are impactful because each dollar donated to the Food Bank can provide three meals to someone in need.

As the host of a third-party event, you are responsible for the organization, promotion and execution of the event. We will provide the Food Bank’s logo and materials such as, newsletters, brochures, templates, posters, etc. The Food Bank will work to ensure that our supporters are aware of your event through our website and social media networks whenever appropriate.

Virtual Funds Drive

Host a Virtual Funds Drive (also known as a Virtual Food Drive) at your company or organization. Simple and secure, a virtual funds drive is an interactive tool that makes your donation to Food Bank for the Heartland go further. The Food Bank will use the funds to purchase food items that are most needed, including fruits, vegetables, and perishable items such as meat and dairy products.

For every dollar donated to the Food Bank, we can provide three meals. With the Food Bank’s purchasing power and network of wholesale, retail and agricultural donors, we are able to do much more with a monetary donation.
